That smoothed a wretched step.
It once was ragged but now it's smooth,
Was flat, but now, it glides.

T'was Gradients that taught...
My heart to soar.
And Gradients, my fears relieved.
How precious Gradients did appear...
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
We have already come.
T'was Gradients that brought us safe thus far...
And Gradients will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
